There are many lakes and ponds   throughout the area, some local and some a short drive away.  The Adirondack State Park is a two hour drive; Cooperstown's Otsego Lake is fifteen miles distant, Lake Canadarago a little further - the latter two both having ramps for motor-boat launching.  For the trout enthusiast, Otsego Lake holds Lake Trout while the many streams in Worcester provide excellent fishing for native Brook Trout, Rainbows and Browns.

What about in Worcester?  Caryl's Lake, a pristine spring-fed mountain-top body of water is owned by the Town and publicly accessible.  It serves as one of Worcester's public water supplies and has a good population of Bluegills, Smallmouth Bass, and Bullheads.  Hudson Lake, situated alongside Interstate #88 affords good fishing for Largemouth Bass and a place to paddle your boat.
